Homecoming Ceremony for UNMISS Staff Officers (13th deployment)

On September 12, 2022, a homecoming ceremony was held at the Cabinet Office for Major ARIZONO Mitsuyo (Engineering Officer) and Captain HARADA Toshiyuki (Information Database Officer), who had been dispatched to UNMISS (United Nations Mission in the Republic of South Sudan). It was attended by State Minister WADA Yoshiaki, Cabinet Office, State Minister YAMADA Kenji, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Parliamentary Vice-Minister KIMURA Jiro, Ministry of Defense. Mr. Wada expressed his gratitude to them for sincerely carrying out their duties which contributed to the smooth activities of UNMISS, and he wished for further success in their careers on the basis of their experiences.

Departure Ceremony for UNMISS Staff Officers (14th deployment)

On August 4, 2022, a departure ceremony for Major KAMBAYASHI Satoru (Information Database Officer) and Major TAKAHASHI Hirokazu (Engineering Officer), who will work for UNMISS (United Nations Mission in the Republic of South Sudan) as Staff Officers for a year, was held at the Cabinet Office with the attendance of State Minister AKAIKE Masaaki, Cabinet Office, State Minister ODAWARA Kiyoshi, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Parliamentary Vice-Minister NAKASONE Yasutaka, Ministry of Defense. Mr. Akaike gave words of encouragement to the two officers, who would represent Japan in their contribution to international peace cooperation.

On April 13, 2022, Major NAKAMURA Yoshio (Logistics Officer) and Major KANETSUKA Tomonari (Air Operetions Officer), who had been dispatched to UNMISS (United Nations Mission in the Republic of South Sudan), paid a courtesy call on Chief Cabinet Secretary MATSUNO Hirokazu. Mr. Matsuno expressed his appreciation, stating that he was proud of them for appropriately carrying out their duties and supporting the smooth activities of UNMISS, thus contributing to international peace cooperation.

On July 14, 2022, a homecoming ceremony was held at the Cabinet Office for Lieutenant Colonel HAYASHIDA Yoshiaki and Major HARA Yasushi, who had been dispatched to the Multinational Force & Observers (MFO) in Sinai Peninsula, Egypt, as Staff Officers, with the attendance of State Minister AKAIKE Masaaki, Cabinet Office, Parliamentary Vice-Minister IWAMOTO Tsuyohito, Ministry of Defense and Parliamentary Vice-Minister HONDA Taro, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Mr. Akaike expressed his gratitude to them for sincerely carrying out their duties which contributed to the smooth activities of MFO, and he wished for further success in their careers on the basis of their experiences.

On May 12, 2022, a departure ceremony for Lieutenant Colonel UMEHARA Ryohei and Major SATO Taiki, who will work for the Multinational Force & Observers (MFO) in Sinai Peninsula, Egypt, as Staff Officers for a year, was held at the Cabinet Office with the attendance of State Minister AKAIKE Masaaki, Cabinet Office, State Minister ODAWARA Kiyoshi, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Parliamentary Vice-Minister IWAMOTO Tsuyohito, Ministry of Defense.
