マレーシア出張 An Official Trip to Malaysia

　平成31年1月12日（土）、平井クールジャパン戦略担当大臣は、マレーシアへ出張し、現地大臣との2国間（バイ）会談、クールジャパンビジネスセミナー、Japan Travel Fair（ジャパントラベルフェア）へ出席しました。
　会談では、モハマディン観光・芸術・文化大臣と『観光を通じた両国の交流促進』について、また、サイフディン国内取引・消費者大臣とは『知財面での両国の協力』について、それぞれ意見交換を行いました。
　午後からのクールジャパンビジネスセミナーにおいては、マレーシアのビジネス界で活躍しているパネリストの方々とクールジャパンの現状と課題、進むべき方向性や両国の連携の可能性について議論を交わしました。
　その後、訪日旅行の魅力をPRするイベント「Japan Travel Fair（ジャパントラベルフェア）」に合わせて、200万人以上のフォロワーを有するマレーシアの人気俳優 ジハン氏と『日本の観光や文化、テクノロジー』などについてトークセッションを行いました。平井大臣はトークセッションの中で「クールジャパンとは世界の人々からかっこいいと思われる日本の魅力。一度は日本を訪れてほしい」と述べ、ステージに集まったマレーシアの人々へ大臣自らアピールしました。
　同イベント内に設けたクールジャパンブースでは、最先端技術によって生み出された新しい体験や異業種連携によって生み出された商品・サービス（クールジャパン・マッチングアワード）の展示を視察しました。
　また、マレーシアで活躍する日本の芸人 KLきんじょー氏とマレーシアから見た日本の魅力等についてトークセッションを行いました。
 
 
Mr. Hirai, the Minister of State for "Cool Japan Strategy", went on an official trip to Malaysia on 12th January 2019 to have meetings with couple of Malaysian Ministers, to host the “Cool Japan Business Seminar”, and to attend the “Japan Travel Fair”.
 
In his meeting with Mr. Mohamad Din, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, he discussed a way to further strengthen the mutual friendship via tourism. He also had a meeting with Mr. Saifuddin, Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumerism to discuss necessity of close cooperation in Intellectual Property area.
 
In Cool Japan Business Seminar, Minister Hirai had a productive discussion with panelists from various background on such topics as the current situation and challenges of Cool Japan, its future direction, and the possibility of mutual cooperation.
 
In Japan Travel Fair, he had a talk session with Ms. Jihan Muse, a famous Malaysian celebrity with more than 2 million followers, in which they enjoyed talking about Japanese sightseeing spots, culture and technology. In the talk session, he expressed his recognition that Cool Japan is the attractiveness of Japan that could be perceived as cool by many nations, and encouraged the audience to visit Japan at least once in their lifetime.
 
After the talk session, Minister Hirai went on a tour of Cool Japan Stand with Ms. Jihan where they experienced the products and service created with Japanese newest technologies and enjoyed looking at examples of cross-business cooperation (Cool Japan Matching Award).
 
He had a talk session with Mr. KL Kinjo, a Japanese comedian living in Malaysia to further introduce Japanese attractiveness in Malaysia.
